Volunteers turn out to plant 75 trees in record time!
A gorgeous September day brought in many volunteers from Charleswood, Youth Leadership Team Wild Outside, our friends from City of Winnipeg Naturalist Department and many other folks made the drive to Charleswood to help.
Our morning kicked off with Good News Saturday phone call to 50/50 Winner Alan D. After a last minute reminder, he picked up a few tickets minutes before it closed, only to find he was taking home $2000! Congrats Alan.
Few came early and excited, others stopped in unknowingly as they passed by the plant area. Over 75 trees were planted in well under an hour, the best turn out yet for Harte Trail as folks came and went throughout the morning.
Thank you everyone for working safe and respecting everyone’s space. Look forward to seeing you in the Spring for our first tree plant of 2021.
