Its great you’re thinking of joining our team and that you have a passion for community. We are a dedicated group of volunteers that want to make a difference. We are a hard working board and would love your help!

In order to hold one of the following positions, you’ll need to be elected by our membership in a secrete ballot vote. You’ll have a chance to provide a short bio of yourself and why you think you’d be a fit for the position. This information will be provided at the AGM to our members so they can make an informed vote. Simple majority of votes wins. You’ll be granted 5 minutes to present to the group in person if you choose.

President

Lead the organization!

Positions: 1

Time Commitment: 4 - 6 hours per month during peak season. 3 - 5 hours per month off season. 

Term: 3 years. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Chair person of all meetings and committees.

  • Preserve order and decorum.

  • Talk to the media.

  • Work with elected officials.

  • Lead initiatives and delegate tasks.

  • Organization recruitment.

  • Hosting and presenting at the yearly AGM.

Assets:

  • Community leader.

  • Can work with all types of people.

  • Good presentation skills.

Secretary

Help with our admin duties!

Positions: 1

Time Commitment: 3 - 6 hours per month during peak season. 2 - 4 hours per month off season. 

Term: 3 years. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and maintain minutes of all organization meetings

  • Responsible for all organization correspondence (Manage the main email mailbox)

  • Ensure that work files are transferred from outgoing to incoming officers

  • Ensure that amended Constitutions are available to members at their request.

  • Vote on executive issues. 

  • All Directors at Large responsibilities below. 

Assets:

  • Detail oriented.

  • Multi-tasker; experienced in preparing meeting minutes in a timely manner. 

  • Knowledge in office software like Google Docs/Microsoft Word. 

  • Be able to use cloud storage solution (Google Drive)

Director at Large (3 positions): 

Join our board and help in the decision making process! 

Positions: 3

Time Commitment: 2 - 6 hours per month during peak season. 2 - 4 hours per month off season. 

Term: 3 year. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Joining monthly board meetings. 

  • Reviewing meeting minutes. 

  • Attendance at as many events as possible is expected, and represent the organization in good standing.  

  • Help develop and take on new initiatives. 

  • Review and discuss trail issues and responsibilities. 

  • Vote on motions. 

  • Participate in the AGM yearly. 

  • Promote the trail's cause and carry out its mission statement.

  • Help fulfill other duties.

    • Helping at our events.

Assets:

  • Effective communicator and ability to work in a diverse group of people. 

  • Able to work in a team and taking imitative.
